Having joined Echelon two years ago, Tina says “I enjoy being an Echelon member because I like meeting other like-minded professionals; I like the social aspects of being with my fellow members; I like that Echelon is trying to help each of us become better businesspeople; and I like their themed gatherings and luncheons. Our Calabasas group is a lot of fun because we meet on a boat, which makes those gatherings more engaging. Echelon’s meetings are very interesting, and I’ve been exchanging phone numbers with a few other members so we can get together and do things outside the group — I like that part of it a great deal.
I would certainly suggest Echelon to other professionals because I think the group offers a great networking tool — it’s nice to have an arsenal of people you can refer your clients to. There have been a number of times when I’ve needed to refer a client of mine to an attorney or a real estate agent, so getting to meet them in person and hearing about their process and clients through Echelon, is a much better way for me to refer people than just Googling them.
My various clients have different backgrounds and different business models, and by getting to know my fellow Echelon members, I am able to reach out to my group and throw out an inquiry. After all, the first way to lose clients is not having someone to refer them to. It’s best to tell them, ‘I have someone really great for you!”
In her spare time, Tina enjoys traveling, concerts, cooking, and learning. In fact, she just bought a ticket to see Dave Matthews perform in Amsterdam next Spring, on a whim!
