May 2025
Recharge. Don’t forget to nourish your own well-being.
As we move through May and feel the promise of summer around the corner, it’s natural to start thinking about vacations, longer days, and a time to recharge. While taking a break is essential, it’s also a great opportunity to stay gently connected: check-in with clients, send a thoughtful note, or simply say hello. Maintaining those relationships keeps them warm without feeling like work. And don’t forget to check in with yourself too. Nourishing your own well-being is just as vital to your professional growth as your next big meeting.
E1 Agoura/Westlake focused their April meeting on branding and marketing, posing the questions: “Do you know your brand? More importantly, do your clients and connections know your brand?” They each talked those questions through, and each of them is now more equipped to showcase their unique skills. Group moderator Jennifer Felten mentioned that she is “so proud to be learning and growing with this amazing group of professionals.”
E1 Woodland Hills spent some time talking about AI, the impacts of the fires (on people and on the economics and industries), the on-coming tariffs, and ended their discussion with a one-line sentence/mantra that each of them follows in business and in life.
E1 Warner Center discussed the following question: “What person or belief is a guiding light in your business?”
E1 East Valley recapped the March Wine & Whiskey tasting. The group also discussed the constitutional crisis our country faces, how it is impacting our customers’ businesses, and how to maintain fair pricing for services in a crisis economy. Member Jill Kasen had her Ribbon Cutting in Burbank on April 17th and plans to launch her new book towards the end of the year! Member De Ivett talked about 5D Spectrum’s launch of their new app Instrumental Giving, the peer to peer app that connects donors to fire impacted musicians. See below for more information on the new app!

The Impact of Fulfilling Work
By Tom Drucker
Early in my career, I realized the importance of having fulfilling work. I read Dr. Vikto Frankl’s book Man’s Search for Meaning, which was based on his experiences surviving the Holocaust. Frankl recognized that everyone’s life had meaning, and he spent the rest of his life assisting other in finding theirs.
