Frank Taylor of Franklin Taylor Insurance presented his favorite Rum Tiki Drinks. A true collector of rum, Frank taught fellow members how Bacardi is a great mixing rum and how there’s no need for high-end, expensive bottles. However, having a “float” of a great Jamaican Rum is a good trick. Another trick? Hand select smoother limes (i.e. Bearss Limes) and microwave it for about 30s – 1 minute before you juice. Other great info: Where ‘Don The Beachcomber’ got his name; Which Trader Vic recipes are must-tries; and Using Falernum instead of Symple Syrup.
