Involved in commercial real estate for nearly 25 years, James has developed a keen comprehensive skill set for specialization in investment brokerage and National 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges. In 2000, while living in Arizona, James began his commercial real estate career as a byproduct of the previous five years being a site acquisition specialist for a dry cleaning operation that had opened more than 75 plants in the southwest. Over the span of 15 years, James played a significant role on a team that grew an industrial portfolio from 1.5 Million square feet to nearly 6 Million square feet, while he personally completed more than 1500 lease and sales transactions worth more than $1 billion. In 2015, James returned to his hometown, Ventura, California, to focus on retail investment sales and National 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges. With the strength of the national network he has built along with the power of SVN, James is able to successfully close transactions in all 50 States. In addition to his brokerage practice, Mr. Bean is a published author, writer, sales coach and accomplished public speaker who continues to deliver presentations on numerous commercial real estate and sales strategy topics. James is involved with ROTARY International and serves on a local charter school board.
